DIY Kawaii Nails and Homei At Home Nail Kit
(in the context of Japanese popular culture) cute.
"she paints elephants that are extremely kawaii"
the quality of being cute, or items that are cute.
"even in a cosmopolitan city like Tokyo, kawaii is everywhere"
I remember when I was a lil Baby Jam, after all my homework was done, I would stay up extra late to paint my nails and make sure they were dry before I went to bed. This is more than likely the main reason as to why i HATE it when my nails are chipped or unpolished. The addiction started at a young age and getting my nails done in Tokyo ended up being more expensive than I thought.
When we first arrived to Tokyo, the only thing I knew I wanted to do before we left was to get "kawaii" 3D nails. I envisioned some thick nails with layers and layers of paint shaped like my cat or enough bling on my nails for all of the jersey housewives to be jelly. And then I looked at the price for beautiful nails, rolled my eyes and said, "NOPE!"
Luckily, we were in the shopping mecca of Tokyo in Shibuya where we found an at home gel kit. Here is my unboxing and attempt to create bling nails.
